Downtown kitchen

Our largest asset is our Daily Hot Meal Program called our Downtown Kitchen where we prepare and serve over 1,500 hot, balanced meals every week. We are the largest non-residential congregate feeding ministry in this area. Meals are prepared and served daily by our part-time staff and community volunteers. We serve daily Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday for lunch.

Food Pantry

Macon Outreach also responds to struggling families in the Bibb County area through the Emergency Grocery Pantry. Serving basic nutritious commodities to more than 7,000 people (children and adults) every year, we work hard to ensure that no person has to worry about whether they will eat tonight. The majority of this food comes from private donations, as well as from the Middle Georgia Community Food Bank. Donations are also given by local grocery stores.  Publix, Starbucks and Panera Bread gives a weekly donation of bread.

cLOTHING Closet

From the Outreach Clothes Closet, guests receive clean, reliable clothes and shoes. We have just renovated a new building on the corner of Walnut and New Street. Fully supported by donations and volunteers, we are looking forward to a new location filled with clothes.

We accept clean, gently used clothing, shoes, bibles and books. Just drop your clothes at 808 Walnut Street on Tuesdays from 9:30-12. Or drop off at Macon Outreach, park in the back parking lot and ring the buzzer at the double beige door. Or just push open the left side and let us know you are here! We will help you unload and give you a tax deductible receipt.

Chapel Service

We have a chapel service every Wednesday at 10:30. It is held in the chapel at Mulberry Street United Methodist Church.

We love to have volunteers speak, sing, play the organ, bring a guitar or just join in the worship experience. Call Robin Harris at 743-8026 and schedule a time.
