Macon Outreach also responds to struggling families in the Bibb County area through the Emergency Grocery Pantry. Serving basic nutritious commodities to more than 7,000 people (children and adults) every year, we work hard to ensure that no person has to worry about whether they will eat tonight. The majority of this food comes from private donations, as well as from the Middle Georgia Community Food Bank. Donations are also given by local grocery stores, Kroger and Publix and Panera Bread gives a weekly donation of bread.
The shelves are BARE!!! We need your help with peanut butter, pork and beans and canned meat. The need is great especially as we give lots of groceries to families during the holidays. The parents have been feeding these kids at home and our pantry can help serve a few extra groceries to help feed these children.
